The Deauville American Film Festival takes place every year at the end of summer 1975.

The event features a selection of fifty films from the United States: from major Hollywood productions to independent cinema, from feature films to short films, to television.

The screenings are at Deauville International Center, Lucien Barrière Casino and Le Mony Cinema. A jury rewards the best productions and celebrates the prominent figures of American cinema. For the 43rd Deauville Film Festival at the opening ceremony, on september 1st, Clotilde Hesme, Chanel ambassador and member of the jury, wore a printed leather dress, look 20, from the Cruise 2017-18 collection.

The French actress Astrid Berges-Frisbey wore a white silk pleated jumpsuit with embroideries, look 62, from the Chanel Cruise 2017-18 collection and Chanel clutch and shoes.
