Optimism, vitality, individuality and diversity: all that represents Desigual‘s new Spring Summer 2018 collection is enclosed in these terms. From the New York catwalks, with the artistic direction of Jean-Paul Goude, the brand presents a jungle-inspired collection in the literal and metaphorical sense.
More than a collection presentation, it seems to be immersed in a performance that stands out with originality and eclecticism. Each model represents a particular character belonging to a particular group, with make-ups and hairstyles brought to the limits of the imagination.
A real trip, an unexpected trip. The silhoutte are casual but textured, with elements ranging from raffia to pois. The pieces include color-block mesh with marbled striped netting, kimono and pajama-style volumes. Jackets are enriched with gilded jewelry, while bohemian skirts and dresses show surreal geometric prints. But it’s not over here! In the fantasies mix, she goes from Tahitian flowers to Topolino prints. And finally an immense surprise: the capsule collection “Desigual Couture“.
A perfect intersection between the aesthetic approach of Jean-Paul Goude and Desigual. Now you just have to get lost in this fashion jungle!
