The Hammer Museum’s courtyard was transformed for our 15th annual Gala in the Garden, honoring celebrated filmmaker Ava DuVernay and award-winning writer Hilton Als with tribute speeches by writer, producer, and director J.J. Abrams and author Maggie Nelson.
