January 15, 2018: apparently it may seem like an ordinary day, a simple New Year’s Monday, but it’s actually a sad day, full of pain. To lose his life is one of the greatest Irish songwriters and musicians: Dolores O’Riordan.
Who did not listen, even by chance, one of his songs? They have been part of everyone’s life.
Born in 1971 in Limerick, in the south west of Ireland, she had six siblings and 1990, very young, she became the voice of the famous group The Cranberries. A warm, intense, overwhelming voice, which in some way will also be the reflection of his own life: a life of suffering but also of great satisfaction. He will always talk about his children as his “salvation”.
She was a wife, a mother, even before a great singer, and like so many women who made history, she will remain in history, because the world needs voices like her, whose fragility is to be read in depth as if they were pages of sensibility, of redemption, of sweetness and of bitterness.

As we often say, the best people always go away too soon, but they will never be able to leave our memories, from what is the memory of time. Thank you for allowing us to listen to you, to love you, to try to dig into our soul, into yours, and thanks for allowing us to be part of it. The world has lost a true artist, an extraordinary talent: we are continuing to enjoy what you have offered us, of the precious heritage that you have left us as a gift.
