Steven Meisel has hit yet another home run with the unveiling of Moschino’s advertising campaign for Spring 2018.
Jeremy Scott has hired Meisel to shoot the Italian label’s mainline campaigns since 2014 and each one has been a success.
The legendary lensman proves his worth, once again, with the latest campaign starring a bevy of models walking a vintage-style fashion show, styled by Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele. Naomi Campbell flashes a smile while strutting her stuff down the makeshift runway, while beauties Yasmin Wijnaldum, Aube Jolicoeur, Adut Akech and Liya Kebede follow suit in the remaining images. Naomi Campbell is a runway legend, so it is no wonder that Moschino chose her to document one of her latest catwalk appearances for their striking Spring 2018 ad campaign. Designer Jeremy Scott unveiled the first round of print campaign images photographed by Steven Meisel for the season, and they perfectly capture the energy of a live fashion show.
Moschino’s ads blend the immediacy of a runway showing with the permanence of collection advertorials. You can see the excitement and organized chaos of the setting, where hundreds of spectators and photographers try to catch a glimpse at each detail-filled design.
The room is lit with elegant chandeliers, and decorated with spring-perfect flowers. It’s the perfect amount of drama for this campaign. Models Adut Akech Bior, Liya Kebede, Yasmin Wijnaldum, and Aubé Jolicoeur are also featured in this straight-from-the-runway campaign. Each girl brings her own flair to the statement-making Moschino Spring 2018 looks, which include punk-inspired tutus with fishnet tights and studded boots.
