Chiara Boni with La Petite Robe, the fall winter 2018 collection, celebrates the sophisticated and feminine beauty of the great movie stars of the thirties.
Carole Lombard, Jean Harlow, Barbara Stanwyck and Joan Crawford, these fascinating and chic women, but also determined and tenacious, are among the muses that inspired the refined collection.
Rooted in the typical discrete elegance of the brand, which reflects the dynamic and frenetic lifestyle of contemporary women, the collection is enhanced by glamorous and feminine touches. The iconic jersey dresses by Chiara Boni La Petite Robe are decorated with wide sleeves of impalpable tulle. This is also used to enrich the models with midi lengths with rose-shaped decorations and delicate basques. Fluid long dresses mix jersey with soft tulle and taffeta, while mini dresses reveal romantic organza decorations. Styles with a minimal appeal, such as flared dresses with a graphic look, are placed next to the most eccentric models, including a profiled jumpsuit with a cascade of very long fringes. A maxi tiger motif introduces a wild note in a group of dresses developed in a delicate palette of pastel colors, while Prince of Wales and pinstripe motifs give a more masculine attitude to sheath dresses, jackets, cigarette pants and suits.
The feminine soul of the collection translates into clothes on which bloom floral bouquets made of micro studs. The offer of the brand this season is extended with the inclusion of a wide range of outerwear, made by coupling the iconic jersey with various materials, including woolen cloth, lace and woolen knitwear. The models, elegant and versatile, range from jackets to trapeze and robe coats and hoods. Accessories highlight the delicate femininity of the collection. Flakes enrich the ankle boots, sandals and décolleté, available in jersey, velvet and leather. The same decorative motif also comes back in the mini-bags and clutches, which also reveal elegant ruffles.
La Petite Robe renews its presence on the runways of the New York kermesse. Among the special guest on the front row of the Italian designer Chiara Boni, whose collections are much loved and appreciated in America, the Brazilian super top Isabeli Fontana, immortalized at the end of the fashion show together with the designer wearing one of her creations.
