The female uniform signed by Fendi is trench coats, furs and flared skirts. The Fall Winter 2018/19 will in fact feature a woman with well-framed looks, with rigid shoulders and soft skirts.
A contemporary romance that expresses strength and delicacy at the same time: like a work of art, the Fendi look starts from a solid architecture on the shoulders, made of cloaks that look like wings, cover shoulders in down or shiny fabric, which become accessories trendy. The line then softens, after a waistline marked by important belts: skirts that fall softly drawing the silhouette, alternating with the softness of the plissè.
Among the overcoats, the choice is between trench and fur, the first for the more traditionalist, minimalist woman who also looks for functionality in her wardrobe. The Fendi trench coat is shiny, with check or logo, as a second dress, almost never removed. Fur is instead dedicated to the trend setter, sleeveless and voluminous, in a total black bomber version or in a jacket version, with a more classic line. The undisputed queen who completes the Fendi look is the cape: maxi or mini, in total black or diamond pattern, ton-sur-ton with the dresses, to give that fine tone that breaks the severity of the strict tailoring lines.The combination of sweatshirt and miniskirt takes us back in time but at the same time offers a glimpse into the future, with the discovery of the new Fendi + Fila logo, designed by the artist Hey Reilly. The palette starts with traditional black and brown, winter burgundy and navy blue, to flow into the pastel shades of powder pink, blue and ivory.
To complete the wardrobe for next autumn, a mix of tradition and innovation invades the shelf of accessories: the boots, made of bright knurled calfskin, in printed or satin leather, are Texans, calf or knee, with double Cuban heel. Togheter with the classic bags, makes its debut the Double F, a bag with chain that presents the ‘F’ on the corners on one side and the Fendi stamp on the other. The new deconstructed Peekaboo X-Lite is characterized by soft lines and a contrasting inner pocket in fine leather, in pastel shades or in the iconic FF.
Among the models on the catwalk were the Hadid sisters: Gigi wore a beige dress with white collar and white boots, Bella instead an ivory silk dress with soft sleeves paired with powder pink boots. Another perfect demonstration of the harmony between Silvia Venturini Fendi, who brings to the catwalk the history of the brand and Karl Lagerfeld, who gives her visionary inspiration to each piece of the collection.
