During the Milan Fashion Week, the well-known fashion brand Iceberg presented the new Fall Winter 2018/19 collection for him and her. In these 40 years of life, Iceberg has built around itself a world, which has expanded and diversified thanks to a careful brand extension strategy: from watches to shoes, from kidswear to beverages.
Iceberg is not just a brand but a pure trend. Dynamism is an integral part of it, it is a pop spirit that reflects the american pop art. Creative director James Long told us about the inspiration for the new women’s collection: “We started from the Iceberg archives, taking inspiration from the 80s, when the brand was characterized by strong Pop influences and we made it all contemporary, thinking of an iconic, playful, cosmopolitan and eclectic woman”.
Logomania is definitely a word to say at the sight of the collection. Proposed in maxi versions and decomposed on jackets and mini dresses, the Iceberg logo accompanies us to the discovery of each garment. Another word that can be attributed to the Iceberg collection is certainly irony. This time Tom & Jerry are the protagonists of Cartoon graphic.
The cartoon print is another historical leitmotiv of the Iceberg style. There are also color games that contribute to the creation of a luxury sportswear collection. Stripe blocks, lively and decisive, contrast with black, white and silver. Technical and quilted inserts, leather, chenille and stretch jersey. Network, inlays, plays of transparencies, satin and a lot of knitwear, heritage of the brand. Padded jackets, pleated skirts, branded socks and a line of eyewear.For the Iceberg man, the 80s are the right atmosphere. Street style and clean design represent the winning character of the collection. To better understand the inspiration of the collection, James Long added:
“The collection thrives on unprecedented contrasts and combinations, a mix and match of materials, fabrics, fit and colors. I casually mixed garments and deliberately casual fabrics with others that belong to a decidedly more formal wardrobe, without giving up the Iceberg effect. Tradition, experimentation and innovation, for new, urban and contemporary solutions! “.
