From Rome to Pitti Immagine: Sergio Tacchini for Band of Outsiders

by Carmela Trabacco
History, fashion and an Italian brand: we talk about Sergio Tacchini. But this time the Italian sportswear has decided to join an iconic American brand of men’s glare, Band of Outsiders.

From this extraordinary collaboration comes the new capsule collection for the Spring Summer season 2019. Could you never slip on one of the Pitti Immagine days? The summer collection is inspired by the statues of ancient Rome, and the theme of the parade is just a school trip to Italy. We start to discover the ruins of ancient Rome and one of the most beautiful cities in the world. In fact, some garments bear heads and busts of ancient statues. The co-branding between Sergio Tacchini and Band of Outsiders instead plays on the iconic garments of the Italian brand and on the color mix.

Polo shirts and T-shirts have been developed with contrasting sleeves and collars, while the historical Orion tracktop and Orion pants, worn in the ’80s by tennis champions, are reinterpreted with contrasting color games like in polo shirts. Not just clothing, but also shoes! The model ranges from bright colors such as red and yellow to pastel colors such as pink and azure. Successful experiment for Sergio Tacchini!
