We know that traveling is a unique emotion but, especially in the case of long journeys, it can become heavy if there are no suitable conditions that allow full enjoyment.

You have to travel for many hours without having the minimum services whose use must be an integral part of the offer: often you are forced to fly in really unrealistic conditions, such as being placed inside the central row limiting to the maximum the movements and the possibility of getting up without disturbing those around you; or the impossibility of stretching the legs due to the anguish of the spaces, or the impossibility of reading for the placement of the lights that do not allow the vision of the pages of a book or a magazine. To make the experience on the plane even more attractive is American Airlines that, starting from the end of March 2018, has introduced two major innovations at Rome’s Fiumicino Airport: the first Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner assigned to the Italian market and the Premium Economy. “I am excited to announce the introduction of the Premium Economy and the first Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner in the Italian market”, commented Angelo Camilletti, American Sales Manager Southeast Europe. “The first Boeing 787-8 will be assigned to the route connecting Rome Fiumicino FCO with Chicago O’Hare ORD and will be followed shortly after the arrival of the second aircraft 787-8, which will be assigned to the new route from Venice Marco Polo VCE to Chicago O’Hare ORD. The route from Rome Fiumicino FCO to Dallas- Fort Worth DFW, introduced by American in 2017, has met with great success among both American and Italian passengers. “

The” Main Cabin “, equipped with 48” Main Cabin Extra “seats in the configuration 3 -3-3, is able to offer passengers up to six extra inches of legroom, and 150 “Main Cabin” seats, also in the 3-3-3 configuration. Each chair features a Panasonic HD 9-inch touchscreen with a wide range of movies, TV shows, games and music selection.

Equipped with a cabin configured in two classes, the 787-8 of American offers 28 fully reclining “Business Class” seats, alternating with respect to the flight direction and arranged in 1-2-1 configuration. To allow greater mobility, the configuration of the Business Class cabin allows each passenger to have direct access to the chair from the corridor. The aircraft is also equipped with satellite Wi-Fi able to provide connection to passengers during the flight. Business class passengers will be offered Bose® QuietComfort® Acoustic Noise Canceling® and earphones. Each seat is equipped with a universal AC power outlet and USB port.

But that’s not all: passengers traveling in Premium Economy can appreciate leather seats that offer 38 inches (ca 1m) of legroom, a personalized on-demand entertainment system, larger touchscreen monitors with film selection, TV programs, music, games and noise reduction headphones.

On the ground, passengers can check in two suitcases at no additional cost and embark first with the priority boarding service. During the flight, they can enjoy fine dining and have access to the global Wi-Fi connection, hours of on-demand entertainment and can request free wine, beer or spirits.
