Jeremy Scott is making the news again thanks to the capsule Moschino for Carlo Mollino inspired by the artist and presented as part of the Fall Winter 2018/19 collection.
Architect, designer and photographer Carlo Mollino and his art become protagonists of classic and bon ton style, inspired by a sensuality summarized in an “explicit whisper” like the one we can see in the 2000 Polaroid erotic taken by Mollino between 1960 and 1973. The photographs were discovered only after his death and revealed to the world a new face of the artist that Jeremy Scott loved and made these anonymous models in lascivious poses protagonists by printing their body on ready-to-wear clothes.
The capsule consists of retro-style evening dresses in velvet and pleated silk chiffon, outerwear and daytime dresses.
The two bags “B-Pocket” and “Hidden Lock” also stand out from the Moschino style to embrace a new one more rigid and austere, almost princely. To promote the capsule the shooting of the advertising campaign was shot on a set that used some original furnishings of Carlo Mollino’s studio.
