Milan’s excitement with the view to the 2018 Fashion Week got paused by Filippo Laterza that captured the attention presenting an innovating capsule collection for the most popular videogame.

During the Milan Lincensing Day, which took place the 13th September, the young apulian designer, who made his name bys finding inspiration from contemporary art, proudly flaunts the result of a new challenge; a capsule collection for Angry Birds as a preview to the upcoming movie, proving once again the ability to keep up with developments. We see the most expressive and current character embracing an haute couture that stretch out to keep a young look: what comes out from this bond is a 5 dresses collection – three womenswear two girl wear expressing a bombshell delicacy. This oxymoron is made possible thanks to organdies, precious embroideries furnished with flimsy feathers matching overprints of the Angry Birds characters in a total fading style. And again oversize volumes and transperency illusion.
The capsule collection is about a refined eccentricity that gives life to a piece in which the artist expresses at its fullest a new way to make fashion in a modern pop-art key.

Fashion designer Filippo who dreams to export in the East, found a balance between games and silk that can captivate a new audience. After all, as he says, “fashion becomes art in the very moment it carries with it a message”. How more communicative can Italian haute couture be in order to make a statement abroad?
