“Freedom“, a precious word, to which Francesca Liberatore honors in her new collection for next Spring Summer 2019.
On the notes of the famous Queen song “I Want to Break Free” the show opens: a choice dictated by the desire to break up patterns, conditions and conventions.
A source of inspiration for the Roman designer, James Ensor, a satirical Belgian painter and anarchist masks, a true visionary who anticipated trends. His works become prints on the leaders of the Liberator. Everything is based on freedom, freedom of expression, vision, approach to life because, moreover, who decides what is the ordinary?
So in this world of paradoxes the finest fabrics embellish the most sporting items: Francesca Liberatore’s sport couture is rich in details and studied fabrics, with macramé bomber jackets and silk patches.
Shiny evening dresses with ruffles, velvet bodices and patterns of the most varied colors: everything refers to a world in which there are no rules, in which the traditional relationships between fabrics and functions are twisted to push the horizon further and further, to glimpse alternative future scenarios that only a truly free look can imagine.
Francesca Liberatore surprises, once again, with the audacity of her fantasies and the expressive strength of an authentic collection beyond the fences.
The famous Roman designer on October 15 will reach another important milestone with the release of the autobiographical book. Best wishes for the double goal.
