Chanel overlooks Paris . Spring Summer 2020 collection

A suggestive Parisian atmosphere has been the background to the new extraordinary Chanel’s collection for the Spring Summer 2020 season: the “Ready-to-Wear show” has paraded through the chimney pots and the windows of the peculiar Parisian sloping roofs, perfectly recreated inside the Grand Palais in Paris.



The catwalks have been crossed by a huge variety of extremely refined outfits, moving from the most elegant evening ones, to the more simple and classy everyday looks, with Capri pants and jeans too.Chanel Spring Summer 2020 collectionTweed, in colour, in black and white, and in different patterns too, has certainly been the protagonist of a large part of the collection, used also for jackets, playsuits, dresses and long coats, these ones available in wool too.

During the next season the satin and taffetas skirts will be trendy as well: all of them, which have wrapped up the Parisian roofs with their soft and light pleats, will also be strictly high on the waist. They have been presented in multiple versions: long, aimed at enhancing the female figure, and shorter and more voluminous, both matched to simple tops or to sophisticated blouses with balloon sleeves.Gigi Hadid - Chanel Spring Summer 2020 collectionTo make even more magnificent the new looks proposed by Chanel were definitely the bags, like the classical flap bags, the precious “Chanel 19” bags coated by printed silk twill, and the more particular zip-up and “11.12 tweed bags, perfectly matched with the respective outfits. The collection have also been beautified with bracelets and necklaces with pearls or stones, small hats and bright sandals with jewelry straps or embellished with rhinestones.Chanel Spring Summer 2020 collectionThe colours used for the new clothes that paraded at the “Ready-to-Wear show” were mainly the typical black and white, but also the red, the pink, the blue and the orange of the patterns that have characterized especially the everyday suits.


The now known versatility of the famous Chanel brand, is therefore clearly perceptible in the diversity of garments, patterns, materials and styles used by Virginie Viard, creator of the Spring Summer 2020’s collection: she was in fact applauded and praised by all those present, who were the Chanel ambassadors Caroline de Maigret, Alma Jodorowsky, Soo Joo Park, Nana Komatsu and Jennie Kim, the singers Cardi B, Sting, Angèle, Ace Tee and Yuna, the musiciant Orelsan, the actresses Isabelle Adjani and Xin Zhi Lei and finally the coreographer and dancer Blanca Li.
