In her wardrobe, class, elegance and practicality are combined in a dynamic look, where every garment is made to last from natural fibres woven according to time-honoured artisan traditions.
Following this principle, which has always shaped her approach to style, Simonetta Ravizza has chosen to work with a wool of remarkable quality and impeccable pedigree for this collection: the famous Loro Piana-branded Sopra Visso wool.
This storied wool, 100% Made in Italy, is obtained from the fleece of an Italian breed of sheep called Sopravvissana, originally from Visso in the Sibillini Mountains of Italy’s Marche region.
A wool with exceptional aesthetic and organoleptic characteristics, its natural technology gives it heat regulating properties and its raw and natural appearance is as strong as it is refined and crisp to the touch.
With this outstanding Prince of Wales check fabric, Simonetta has created soft reversible down jackets, robe-like men’s overcoats, day suits with sporty shirts, and slim-line trousers.
The collection’s leitmotif is the ‘abbreviated’ down-padded or shearling micro-vest, worn casually over overcoats, warm wool and alpaca sweaters with a rustic appeal, and oversize blazers in animalier print kidskin, or alternatively over technical fabric sport jackets with mink or sable linings.
Shearling stands out as a versatile alternative to fur and is proposed in multiple variants that are both wearable and stylish: jackets, ponchos, trucker jackets and long vests inspired by the 1970s, worn with miniskirts, bermuda shorts or supple black leather trousers.
Also made from shearling is the famous Furissima, proposed this season in a maxi saddlebag-like version or an ultra-mini model to hang like a charm from a belt or bag; the latest version is an elegant clutch.
