Francesca Liberatore talks about Insieme Together, the creative collaboration between the students of Marist College in New York and the Accademia delle Belle Arti di Brera during the lockdown.
Francesca Liberatore tells and invites to follow the Insieme Together project Creativity generates international connections at the time of Covid-19. Protagonists of the project were a group of students from the Accademia delle Belle Arti di Brera and American students from Marist College, the famous New York fashion school.

Juan-Manuel Olivera-Silvera Professor in the Fashion department at Marist college and Francesca Liberatore, fashion designer and tenured professor, holder of the chair of Fashion Designer at the Brera Academy and guest senior lecture in the Marist Fashion Designer Department.
“It was natural for me to create this artistic bridge between my students from Brera and the students of the Marist, a prestigious American company with which I have the pleasure of collaborating for years.
I wish that the new generations would not experience this period as an arrest of possibility but as constructive of opportunity, both had to have stimuli to continue expressing their creativity during the lockdown and to remain connected with their dreams, carrying on their plans for the future. I am really proud to be part of this unique project in the world and I really hope that all of you, in Italy, in America, everywhere, can appreciate the talent and drive of these guys stronger than any lockdown. “
This international collaboration, first and for the moment unique, has allowed students far away by geographic area, different in their study path and physically separated, to remain creatively connected and create a single reality.
Produced and branded by the Marist College, Fashion University of New York, ‘Insieme’ will present the works of the talented undergraduates of the Fashion Design course of the Accademia Belle Arti di Brera in Milan who, guided by their shared passion for artistic expression, they are eagerly awaiting the launch of ‘Insieme’ next Friday 29 May on Youtube at 2pm EST / 8pm CET.
‘Together Together’ is more than a fashion show: it is a creative collaboration between two countries that at this historic moment share difficulties and passions.

35 Merchandising Students. 10 Graduate Designer Students. 2 Schools from 2 Countries to launch 1 Passion Project.
On Friday, May 29th, a group of Italian and American students will launch a unique, international collaboration, known as Insieme. Its name, meaning, together, demonstrates how although they are separated physically, they are creatively connected through their shared passion. Even in times of challenge, these future fashion leaders are committed to sharing their message and the importance of community and creativity.
The show is produced and branded by New York-based fashion school Marist College under the direction of Faculty Director Juan Manuel Olivera-Silvera. Insieme will feature collections from the talented graduate designers of Milan-based Accademia Di Belle Arti created under the direction of renowned Italian Designer Francesca Liberatore.
Though thousands of miles apart and stuck in isolation, these students have become one. Driven by artistic expression, they excitedly await the launch of Insieme next Friday on Youtube at 2 pm EST/8 pm CET.
