The Vivienne Westwood Made-to-order semi-couture bridal collection for 2020 presents eleven styles, available in a variation of luxurious fabrics and prints, as well as alternative Peace silk and vegan fabric options;

First seen on the red carpet, the Minerva is a backless floor length gown creating a sensual silhouette. With a twisted asymmetric neckline this non-corseted gown drapes heavy silk satin across the body, to pool in a train behind the bride, perfect for a beach wedding. Also available in a Peace silk fabric application.Vivienne Westwood Made-to-Order Rose Bridal 2020The Amber gown combines a structured shoulder line with the feeling of a relaxed Grecian robe, creating a gentle romantic bridal silhouette. Sumptuous fabric is scooped across the neck and draped close to the body with soft and seamless lines, accentuated with a fish tale train. Available with or without sleeves, in a midi or long skirt length, and with the option of Peace silk or vegan fabric application.

The iconic Cocotte is a gown with great historical influence – the corset and neckline are inspired by the fashionable high society women of the 18th-century, and the draped fabric which sweeps across the shoulders, drapes and falls from the hip, is reminiscent of ancient Greek statues. In a cocktail length, the Cocotte is available in a Peace silk fabric application or in a midi and floor length the gown is available in silk satin, silk cady or the two seasonal rose print applications.

The Delicate Drape dress, first seen in the Gold Label Spring-Summer 2007 I am Expensiv collection, is an ultra-feminine silhouette. Seamless fluid lines which pool and dance across the body are enhanced by ivory micro sequins or the soft drapes of silk cady, to create a truly elegant and timeless gown. Available with detachable sleeves draped off the shoulder, for a sophisticated look.

The Cora Cocotte is inspired by the seminal Cocotte shape, adapted to sculpt and showcase the shape of a younger woman, first created for the 21st Birthday of Vivienne’s Granddaughter – Cora Corré. Available in a vegan fabric application or ivory micro sequins.

The Ball Tie is a romantic soft a-line gown, in a delicate ivory silk crinkle georgette. A structured corset enhances the décolletage, whilst two lengths of fabric overlay the corset top and drape across the arms or tie at the back, creating a subtle hourglass figure gliding over the hips and sweeping to the floor.

The Joan gown is created in a fil coupé rose organza jacquard, pure white and cut with a structured quality of panelled fabric to create a modern silhouette with a high neckline and square cut back. To ensure none of this precious fabric is wasted, off cuts from the gowns pattern are made into a small bolero or arm warmer style sleeves, to finish this demure look.

The Bagpipe dress drapes fabric spontaneously around a woman’s body, tucked to anchor at the bust. This understated A-line bridal style is available in a fluid ivory silk cady, or a more structured antique ivory mikado or shimmering brinė satin. Can be worn strapless or with optional added sleeves.

The Delicate Bird of Paradise commands attention as the most dramatic gown in the made-to-order collection. The style was originally presented with sleeves, in the Spring-Summer 2005 Gold Label show – Ultra Femininity, encapsulating the grandeur of the Baroque age, a statement of extreme extravagance. The abundance of draped and bustled multi-tonal ivory abstract rose jacquard used to create this stunning corseted gown, remain faithful to Vivienne’s strong belief, that femininity ought to be celebrated. The Delicate Bird of Paradise is available in an antique ivory mikado, roses jacquard or shimmering brinė satin fabric.

The two-piece Bridal look in the collection comprises the Bridal Classic Corset and Long Petticoat, playing homage to Westwood’s iconic underwear as outwear signature look. The historical 18th century flat corset, combined with the multi-layer skirt with an exposed yoke this creates a distinct Westwood bridal look. Available in a vegan fabric application.

Cascading rose petals form the dramatic skirt of the resplendent Crystal gown, which showcases over 90 metres of tulle. Inspired by the original Vivienne Westwood Princess gown, an exposed asymmetric yoke anchors the multi-layered tulle skirt, finished with a subtle delicately draped strapless corset top. The Crystal gown is available in silk cady or a vegan fabric application.
