A quiet Wednesday afternoon that brought us together in front of the screen to stream the Chaira Boni La Petite Robe fashion show for the Spring Summer 2021 collection.
The live broadcast opens and the atmosphere is immediately harmonious and dreamy: the designer leaves for the first time in New York to walk on the beach of the Augustus Hotel & Resort in Forte dei Marmi and remembers the Italian holidays of her childhood. Elegance and lightness are expressed unfiltered by the screen, everything appears real and communicative even from a distance.
And this is the magic of fashion, especially when is well done. Chaira Boni La Petite Robe embraces the trend of dreams and naturalness that is changing the course of fashion for a return to simplicity full of style and individuality. The models wear the garments of the Spring Summer 2021 collection walking barefoot, with their hair waved by sea breeze full of salt. Even if we weren’t there, we still seem to smell the sea.
The palette is narrow, almost monochromatic and the colors accompany the landscape without disturbing it: creamy white and beige in light shades. All the lines are simplified, the volumes are emptied in favor of curls and draperies. The silhouette is essential and soft, the body is wrapped with a caress. The dresses are worked for a perfect and enveloping fit in the one-shoulder models and in those with batwing sleeves.
The costume becomes a sculpted bodysuit that structures the body or is enriched with a bow and accompanies perfectly constructed sarong-style skirts.
The trousers are the star of a suit with a double-breasted jacket, a tight-fitting suit with tone-on-tone belt and a casual suit with short sleeves. Alongside the iconic jersey of the brand, there is the sustainable silk used to make trousers paired with collarless polo shirts and tunics. 
After presenting the Chaira Boni La Petite Robe Spring Summer 2021 collection, the models come out of the frame that widens and lets us see the shore. They are all gathered there and happy in front of the splendor of the sea and of an uncertain summer that perhaps will eventually bring us luck.
The final show is to see them walking in the water accompanied by the designer in a mixture of smiles and enthusiasm, photographers and cameras follow them and the image is so romantic that we would have liked to join them.
