“Cubic” inspiration for a new masterpiece by Giòsa Milano
One of the definitions of ‘Being a craftsman’ is that which highlights the ability to shape a material by combining it, at the same time, with pure personal talent.

Perfectly aware of this is Giorgio Santamaria, who for years has been dedicated to the creation of fine crocodile bags and accessories in his laboratory in Via Ciovasso al 6, in the heart of the Milanese design district of Brera. But where does come from the inspiration to create Giòsa Milano objects that arouse such strong desire, especially from a female audience?

The answer is to be found in everything surrounding him, natural and otherwise, which with round and sometimes angular shapes attracts him and creates an emotion in him that he turns into creativity.

Today, the inspiration and the related emotion start from the thought of one of the historically shapes, richest of meanings, that has always given a sense of stability, security and harmony through its geometries: the cube.

Starting point for the design of many buildings that recently have seen construction in Milan and of numerous design objects, milestones of our Made in Italy, which have retained their charm and relevance over the years, the cube is the source of inspiration for Giorgio Santamaria in the creation of the new women’s bag with a conceptual, geometric design and a marked three-dimensionality.

Made of fine crocodile leather, the “The Cube” handbag, both in the large version and in the trendiest mini-bag, seduces through its regular proportions and its gently rounded corners, determining an ideal fusion of style and versatile practicality.
With a minimal design, which clearly recalls 90s influences, it is then characterized by a double handle with flat handles further lightening the cubic shape of the bag’s structure as well as the diagonally cut corners mitigating its perspective rigidity. A closing flap, as if hinting at the upper side of the hypothetical cube, elegantly hides a large compartment with a zip and a flat pocket.

Artisan piece, available in different colours from noir, to taude, to fucsia and many others, produced according to traditional techniques, for its timeless design The Cube certainly does not have the vocation of a bag for a single season but is outlined as a must-have with durability and style suitable for “forever” as well as a versatility that matches both everyday life and the most refined outfits.
