Cult , the creative workshop of tomorrow, presents the Valentine’s capsule collection, in collaboration with the Istituto Europeo di Design in Rome. The protagonist of the second step of the project is the amphibian customized in the name of love.
“Collaboration with young creatives is strategic and fundamental for the reinterpretation of Cult’s identity codes, supporting the aesthetic evolution that we have undertaken for several seasons. The iconic black amphibian becomes a white canvas, a three-dimensional painting, catalyst of a creative process. A working space capable of combining design, art and avant-garde “said Victoria Adaeze Ejiogu, Creative Director of the Cult brand and former student of IED Rome, now head of the creative department of Zeis Excelsa Spa, the Marche company that owns the brand.
It is in this context that the most representative model of the brand has lent itself to wearing a truly captivating dress of love with its iconic upper that has hosted a romantic and, at the same time, rock customization: patches that recall a punk face, in the shape of a heart, declined in shades of pink and white. A shoe that tells a unique creative path, once again discovering a new and colorful expression, a direct emanation of an artistic imagination immersed in everyday life and characterized by a sophisticated finish.
A real art applied to fashion, in which the shape becomes a painted canvas to wear on the feet to become a statement of originality and strong personality, in the most authentic Cult style. Born in 2000, student of the IED in Rome of the Product Design course, the artist and designer Riccardo Pietrucci is passionate about underground culture which he translates into his works by means of a colorful and textured contemporary graphic language, capable of capturing the uninterrupted flow of his ideas and passions into visionary and constantly evolving artistic forms. The release of the special capsule is scheduled for February 4th on cultofficial.com
The Cult Lab project started with the brand’s desire to enhance the expressive role of fashion as a privileged container of messages and, at the same time, to emphasize the importance of exchanging skills and knowledge with new generations of artists. Cult Lab saw the collaboration with 20 students of the IED of Rome and of the Poliarte – Academy of Fine Arts and Design of Ancona who gave their own vision of the brand’s amphibian, personalizing it in an identity way. Among these, four winners have been selected who will be protagonists, from time to time, of the customization of the brand’s amphibian, chosen for its chameleon-like ability to interpret the personality of the wearer and of those who choose it as a favorite canvas to express the own creativity.
