With the Woman by Woman collection, Jimmy Lion dives into a concept steeped in emotion and strength: a collection of 6 models, unique and original designed by women for women.
For this occasion, the brand is inspired by a cosmopolitan woman, a lover of art and fashion, creative and above all self-confident and free-spirited.
In its innovative creation, the New York-based brand’s product design team of three women plays for the first time with ‘creative collages’, made by combining different textures in the same sock. The brand also worked, for the first time, with new 3D circular knitting techniques, resulting in a highly sensorial product, thanks to different types of stitching and stitches.
Amelie, Camille, Chloé, Ophélie, Séléne, Sophie… Each sock, named after a French woman, has a different texture and print, both on the foot and on the elastic. The elastic, for the first time, incorporates ruffles, and is ‘dressed’ with checks and polka dots.
From Camille, in orange and pink checks with contrasting lilac details, to Séléne, with the original pink polka dots on a brown background in the elastic part, the different textures are woven fabrics, ribbed, honeycomb among others, and combine different colours in the same design.
In addition, Jimmy Lion plays with semi-transparent fabrics for the first time.
The Woman by Woman collection was also born as a creative space, which will be enriched by collaboration with several influential women from various parts of the world in the seasons to come.
