Together, in a familiar intimacy, sharing beauty and ideas, friendship: a cool morning at the café or even a bright afternoon by the sea, a romantic date or a cosy evening at a summer party.
The Luisa Beccaria Spring Summer 2025 collection, presented at LùBar, is a hymn to being together, for a woman who rediscovers the pleasure of meeting, confident and at ease in any situation.
A desire to share, expressed in a style rich in motifs, sometimes geometric, sometimes floral, rippled with fil coupé or leafy branches, overprints and superimpositions in dialogue, counterpoints of soft volumes and defined shapes, bows that tie themselves in knots.
For daytime, the two-piece is sleeveless with a checked pattern in earthy and ivory tones with a flared skirt, or complete with a blouse with three-quarter sleeves checked in shades of sky, micro – which becomes a canvas on which small flowers are painted -, and maxi for the borders.
The worked cotton chemisier with a wide skirt is in stripes with fil coupé work or in a hybrid print between Vichy and Prince of Wales checks. Bichrome macramé lace gives life to light dresses in beach tones or bralettes and crop-tops, also in organza with impalpable 3D embroidery. Trousers and safari jackets trimmed in white are embellished with a textured cotton blouse with wide sleeves.
For the evening, light and iridescence are the order of the day, with wide tulle dresses embroidered with sequined diamonds, or organza completely covered with overprints or contrasting bronze-silver embroidery. Vichy also returns, on a long dress with a criss-cross skirt and a taffeta overskirt tied with bows.
Silhouettes are soft, often flared, with petticoat dresses or more structured bodices, accentuated by contrasting threading; mini, midi and maxi lengths. Fabrics include cotton, stretch linen, fil coupé, organza, tulle, laser-cut cockerel, as well as matching swimwear and light knitwear.
The colour palette plays with the tones of the horizon: from the earth of a sunny summer – beige, ecru, sand, ivory, chestnut, bronze, antique gold, pink – to the endless sea – blue, azure, teal, seaweed, teal – sometimes iridescent with the silver glow of the moon.
Accessories include unusual hair ribbons – inspired by a 1994 haute couture creation from the Luisa Beccaria archive – sandals with torchon knots in the collection’s fabrics, bucket bags and handmade straw hats with a crocheted effect.
