Maryling‘s Spring Summer 2025 collection celebrates the avid gaze of contemporaneity, aiming to seek out and discover everything and everywhere.
And get wrapped up in it. Everything is worth it. Pixels and squares, lines and geometric shapes even in their most essential form, grouped together to become patterns.
From the graphic motifs of the pedestrian stripes in Paris to the period painted doors of London; from the archaeological treasures of the Duomo Foundation in Milan to the extraordinary mosaic floor of the Palazzo Ambrosiano: everything is a matter of inspiration and at the same time a background on the garments of the new collection.
And that’s not all. There is also room, in the colours and shapes, for the madness of Op-art and the visionary mind of Victor Vasarely. And again there is room for the union of opposites, while the tension between modern, clean and precise shapes meets the magnetism of kitsch and excess, ringing and intense in its rich palette.
Not forgetting the maximalist art of Pierre and Gilles, with photos scratched by brushstrokes of paint and a fascinating visual heritage, always balancing between less is more and more is more.
And then the iconic Peggy Moffitt, pioneer of body freedom and muse of legendary designer Rudi Geinreich, whose influence, emotional as much as visual, is reflected in the collection by conveying carefreeness, fun and lack of inhibition.
Here, then, are the knitted motifs with ton sur ton inlays or black on white, perfect for reflecting the geometric shapes of architecture and Op -art while the typical Maryling colours such as electric blue, dark pink and peach are always present. And it is the dresses that create optical effects capable of transforming illusion into reality with the complicity of layering that enlivens, deceiving the eyes.
They are layered, printed silk chiffons or single-colour habotai in which to dress without moderation.Because there is only one secret. Functionality and originality combined in the most authentic DNA of Maryling, which does not forget its distinctive pieces, true must-haves of contemporary femininity attentive to fabric as much as colour, prints as much as workmanship.
The result is a collection to be desired and admired, but above all to be worn because it is always, exquisitely current.
