On the occasion of Milan Fashion Week, Fratelli Rossetti is launching its Spring Summer 2025 collection: ‘Shades of earth, shades of summer’, celebrating the warm colours of the earth and summer through its products.
The presentation will be held in the Fratelli Rossetti Showroom in the heart of Milan, where it will be possible to immerse oneself in a dimension that recalls different shades of colours inspired by the tones of the collection.
Making the atmosphere more evocative will be the presence of a maxi tassel, the unmistakable signature of Fratelli Rossetti’s Brera moccasin, customised by the South African artist Cara Judd.
The designer, whose works are characterised by experimentation with materials, techniques and processes linked to different territories, wanted to give her personal interpretation of an iconic element of the brand. The Brera moccasin will be proposed in two new workmanships: ‘Intreccio tech’, and in the ‘Doll Stitch’ stitching.
The first is a stylistic and technological evolution that celebrates the union between traditional craftsmanship and creative experimentation; the weave is made by using leather strips, sewn in a zig-zag pattern with different coloured threads on a mesh support, creating a three-dimensional effect. In addition to the iconic Brera model we also find the slipper, the ballerina and the baby sandal. The predominant colours recall those of the earth, almond, olive, mustard and mango.
The ‘Doll Stitch’ process, on the other hand, is characterised by a serpentine effect, the thread is finely pulled to create an elegant wave-like movement, giving a unique and refined dynamism. Here the Brera will be available in two variants: suede and leather, the first in suede in pastel shades; the second in leather in white, black, almond and water lily.
Fratelli Rossetti in its 70 years of history has promoted small and large revolutions in the fashion world. Today it continues its mission, combining the long tradition of craftsmanship with an intense search for innovation, while respecting the elegance that distinguishes the brand. Strengthened by its ability to combine contemporary design and manual techniques, Fratelli Rossetti stands as an ambassador of Made in Italy and Italian style at an international level.
Cara Judd graduated in Product Design from the IED in Milan, where she teaches. She started her career as an apprentice to artisans and went on to collaborate with various companies. In 2016, she founded, together with Davide Gramatica, the Cara/Davide studio with which they self-produce sculptural objects focusing on research and perception of materials.
