Liu Jo announces the collaboration with Manteco, a company specialised in the production of carded, regenerated and virgin wool fabrics, for a special capsule collection of outerwear made with sustainable and circular textile products aimed at nurturing positive change.
The constant commitment of Liu Jo towards an increasingly virtuous step by step path in the use of certified and sustainable materials is thus further strengthened by the collaboration with Manteco, an Italian company that carries forward an ancient textile tradition of our country by translating it into the contemporary world and projecting it towards the future, experimenting processing methods with a proven reduced impact.
While the Liu Jo collections continue to explore more responsible production and design approaches, Manteco fabric – made with 75% recycled wool and through a colour creation process without Recype dyes – comes to life through versatile outerwear with a tailored, soft and refined cut.
A capsule dedicated to a conscious woman with an international identity, who loves to feel unique and special and who finds in comfortable glam a style and an aesthetic of life.
A proposal with a contemporary design consisting of a long coat with a fluid and masculine line with lapels and a midi coat with a high collar embellished with maxi buttons, both made of recycled wool in solid colours in off-white, grey and navy blue.
“This is the first time we have collaborated with Manteco® for our women’s collection and I am really happy and satisfied with this opportunity. Manteco® creates sustainable and recycled fabrics and this collaboration allows us to fully support our sustainability value, while guaranteeing excellent looks and performance” – says Marco Marchi, CEO and founder of Liu Jo.
The capsule collection by Liu Jo with Manteco is dedicated to the winter cuddle par excellence and to an icon of timeless garments: the coat, an item that acquires new charm over the years thanks to its imperturbable elegance, thus entering the collective imagination as the emblem of the winter wardrobe.
A garment destined to last meets the attention to sustainability and recycling of materials through the work of two companies with an eye always turned to the innovation of new digitalisation technologies and more sustainable production methods.
In order to directly narrate its commitment to sustainability, Liu Jo has also created the bettertogether.liujo.com website, thus offering a place where to discover and deepen the collaborations, initiatives and responsible choices that characterise the path of the brand.
