Francesca Liberatore Fall Winter 2025/26 new collection

A new collection is equivalent to a “Fall Winter 2025/26” new collection reflection for Francesca Liberatore who, through authoritative phrases from her education, recounts a fashion that cannot be subdued, well-meaning, subservient, but an autonomous and lively spokesperson of a dignity of its own, built on a foundation of knowledge without which even the imagination remains mute, just as the blind eye without the notions stored in the mind, or sterile feelings without the nuances of the spirit.

‘Everything seems great if one is on one’s knees’ quoting Michela Murgia, while discerning and creating places us in continuous investigation, constantly elevating the spirit, and this should once again become a priority.

Thus we alternate between essence and expedient built on the mutability of contemporary fashion, which only seems to take without returning new visions to society.

It is precisely this ‘new’ vision that is tried to urge on the youngest, extolling the importance of knowledge in the individual’s formative years, where absorption lays the foundations for future choices. An excellent setting for this tale is the Istututo Comprensivo Milano Spiga (ICS) complex in Bastion di Porta Nuova with its headquarters at Via Santo Spirito 21.

‘I felt the need to reintroduce values of an uncontaminated reality, the desire for the impossible in a child’s eyes, the spontaneous search for beauty, the curious openness, the passage of time that builds us up over the important years, grateful for the steadfastness and vision that this has allowed me today,’ says Francesca Liberatore and continues: ’A heartfelt thank you goes to the Headmaster Prof.

Prof. Angelina Di Nardo: ‘Hosting Francesca Liberatore’s fashion show is an emotion that goes beyond the fashion event, it is an affirmation of how culture, in all its forms, can find a home within the walls of a school. Istituto Milano Spiga is not only a place of academic learning but a fertile ground where curiosity, creativity and passion for beauty are cultivated. Francesca’s collection invites us to reflect on identity, freedom of expression and the value of time, themes that are at the heart of our educational project and that we try to convey to our students on a daily basis.

Her presence is a precious gift for our students, a unique opportunity to come into contact with the world of fashion and to discover the talent of a designer who has managed to combine creativity and social commitment. I am grateful to Francesca for choosing Istituto ‘Milano Spiga’ as the setting for her fashion show, our collaboration will continue in May in the ‘Spiga Week’, a project of our Educational Offer Plan now in its 4th edition.’
“Chi ha linguaggio ha idee” adds Alessandro Turci in describing Liberatore’s Fall Winter 2025/26, which redefines with outfits free from schemes and trends its phrasing of changeable and dynamic identities with a casual ethno chic touch. A Spanish memory of wide-brimmed hats and loose volumes emerges among the velvets and leathers with worn effects, with very soft profiled jackets and horizontal cuts, knitted skirts, fur and tartan hoodies, petal slits.

A misty palette where amethyst combines with cocoa, burgundy with olive green in an ambience of naturals through to black and white over checks. Materials that play light and fluid in a nomadic movement that does not seek a precise affiliation, but rather a free gesture. Elegance becomes a question of attitude.
A temporal path of women and garments of different identities, the same are new or belong to previous languages that the designer considers timeless, that we continue to wear in different ways in different periods of life defining our history, in a mixture of innovation, reuse, reuse of the brand itself. This is also the origin of the project with DHL Express (the designer’s historic partner since winning the New York competition): a capsule collection of accessories, mini and maxi bags, takes shape from the reuse of the pvc stored from previous fashion shows together, in the wake of Francesca Liberatore’s iconic two-dimensional leather bag.

‘We have always supported the fashion industry, overcoming geographical barriers and promoting the excellence of Made in Italy, thus demonstrating our proximity to a sector that in the first ten months of 2024 recorded a positive trade balance of €35.7 billion, an increase of €3. 5 billion compared to the same period in 2023,’ says Antonella Sada, Head of Public Affairs, Brand & Communications and Sustainability at DHL Express Italy ’We have been by the side of fashion designer Francesca Liberatore since her beginnings, supporting her international journey that started with her victory in 2014 in the DHL Exported competition, an initiative dedicated to young emerging designers. Today’s fashion show demonstrated how creative talent in fashion can become a vehicle for good practices in reusing materials, combining innovation and responsibility.’
