Carvico and Jersey Lomellina, leading companies in Bergamo in the field of warp-knit fabrics and circular knits, launch an eco-sustainable slogan to remind us that often behind what we wear there is much more.
It is important for Carvico and Jersey Lomellina to dress in style but also respecting the planet. Their swimsuits derive from fishing nets, plastic bottles and industrial waste, regenerated thanks to an industrial process that gives life to new fibers.
Since 2016, Carvico and Jersey Lomellina have been supporting a non-governmental organization that protects the environment, “Healthy Seas – a journey from waste to wear”, which deals with recovering waste from the seabed to create an innovative material, the econyl, 100% regenerated from waste. Econyl eco-friendly fiber is used by Carvico to produce swimwear.Carvico realizes through the econyl yarn of polyamide fabrics, Vita, Vita power, Vita suede and Revolutional, while Jersey Lomellina produces polyamide costumes in polyester version such as Renew Cult, Renew prime, Renew style, Renew fine, Renew wave, Renew folk and Style peach, through the ecoantex yarn, derived from plastic bottles.
The challenge of Carvico and Jersey Lomellina is not just a sustainable slogan, but a true promise of commitment to the environment, to respect it and enhance it.
