“I am / o sono” The six personalities of the iconic Brera moccasin

On the occasion of Milan Fashion Week, Fratelli Rossetti presents the different personalities of its iconic Brera moccasin, historical symbol of the brand, through a Presentation that enhances its details, materials and workmanship. Six different models will interpret the six different personalities of the famous moccasin with bows between paper sculptures and red pencil strokes, as if to create a true narrative.

I am icon This is the first of the six personalities. It represents timeless elegance expressed through the most classic of Brera models: the one made of smooth hand-finished leather. A perfect balance between tradition and modernity: on the one hand the use of high quality leather, on the other the skilful use of light and dark tones that create a slight antique effect.
I am wild This is the grittier, bolder and more charismatic personality of the iconic moccasin. Brera in fact comes in an animal version with a rebellious and sophisticated soul, characterised by a giraffe-patterned ‘printed pony’ effect. Contrasting leather details on the upper and the colour of the tassels and moccasin trim.

I am cozy This is one of this season’s novelties, where the moccasin with tassels is made entirely of winter fabric, a wool blend, and is embellished with patterns reminiscent of typical hand-knitted jumpers. A personality that combines elements such as sophistication and innovation with a touch of irony.

I am double Brera is centrally split, bringing out a chromatic duality on the upper itself. The richness of this ‘broken two-tone’ is also given by the use of the Toledo craft technique, in which the shoe is hand-painted. A process that aims to reveal a double soul.
I am complex Embroidery celebrates the art of detail through an interweaving of fabrics and colours that enhance the skilful art of hand-making. Hexagonal patterns of different colours create a particular patchwork effect, for a fun and extravagant result.
I am crispy The moccasin is presented in a new daring and irreverent variant, characterised by a leather with a ‘curled effect’. The insertion of hand-made pleats that originate from the moccasin’s lap give it character and dynamism, and at the same time enhance the skill of the master craftsmen.

Fratelli Rossetti in its 70 years of history has promoted small and large revolutions in the fashion world. Today it continues its mission, combining the long tradition of craftsmanship with an intense search for innovation, while respecting the elegance that distinguishes the brand. On the strength of its ability to combine contemporary design and manual techniques, Fratelli Rossetti stands as an ambassador of Made in Italy and Italian style at an international level.

The collaboration with Berlucchi Franciacorta continues. For over half a century, in its historical headquarters of Palazzo Lana and under the vaults of its seventeenth-century cellars, a dream that became reality in 1961 when Guido Berlucchi, a noble vine-dresser descended from the Lana de’ Terzi family, and Franco Ziliani, a young and visionary oenologist, gave life to the first classic method of Franciacorta.

Berlucchi Franciacorta run today by Franco Ziliani’s children – Cristina, Arturo and Paolo – is not only synonymous with Franciacorta, but also with modern research and advanced, sustainable oenological experimentation, which make it the benchmark winery in the DOCG. In 2024, with more than 60 years of history behind it, Berlucchi Franciacorta will receive the prestigious title of Marchio Storico d’Interesse Nazionale (Historic Brand of National Interest), reserved for Italian companies that have left and continue to leave their mark on the history of Italian entrepreneurship.

The presentation is also the occasion to inaugurate the collaboration with Baratti&Milano. Founded in 1858, the brand is an icon of the Italian confectionary tradition, a historic supplier to the Royal Household. Its fame has been consolidated thanks to the prestigious Caffè Storico in the heart of Turin, which is now one of Italy’s historic venues. Baratti&Milano carefully selects excellent raw materials, such as cocoa from Ecuador and Piedmontese ‘Tonda e Gentile’ hazelnuts. It combines tradition and innovation, creating famous specialities such as Cremino, Gianduiotto and Caramella Classica. Each product is a jewel of quality, fruit of the passion and expertise of its master chocolatiers. A brand that guards the excellence of Italian taste.
