Among the most memorable fashion shows of this edition Milano Moda Uomo 2018, that of Miguel Vieira is certainly among these. His men’s Spring Summer 2019 collection is not just a professional celebration.
It is also the celebration of an individuality, of a philosophy that has grown, becoming increasingly clear and has established itself as a unique and unmistakable style. To celebrate its 30-year career, the Portuguese fashion designer decided to present a collection inspired by pop art and urban style.
Retracing together some of the fundamental reasons of this collection, we have to talk of the two inevitable colors that Miguel Vieira has made of his own for some time: white and black. The latter characterize the entire collection and are combined in a natural way with vintage suggestions and a sporty style.
What the designer wants to tell is a men’s fashion made of vintage prints and accents of color, inspired by the fantasies of pop art and post-modern lithographs. Simple and light materials such as silk and Egyptian cotton are combined with faux fur, jaquard work and innovative laser cuts. Structured clothes, dry lines and superimposed accessories, everything is designed to create a strong visual impact. To complete the look we find accessories that recall the sport, such as the gym bag, printed backpacks, swimming slippers, sock sandals and sneakers.
The brand was not only successful for its innovative pieces and carefully selected materials, but also because the latter managed to excite the souls of those who saw them, arousing the love for luxury and elegance in those who wore them.
