The high Sahara dunes of Erg Chebbi, the skyscrapers of Dubai and the sunsets of Oman: a journey that starts from Morocco and ends at the United Arab Emirates, for Alberta Ferretti Spring Summer 2019 collection.
The desert wind gets a soft silhouette, made of light fabrics and soft lines, made to be fluctuating and never to be rigid. The chiffon, which allows this wonderful excess of movement, draws long dresses, tunics and sweaters, almost transparent, to accentuate their ethereal presence. Pleated will still be the co-star of next summer, on skirts and long dresses.
The San Gallo crochet dresses short dresses and sweaters, with wide sleeves made of ruffles and soft trousers.
Lace decorations delicately fill evening dresses and paint suits as if they were canvases. The daywear suit in perfect desert style is unfiling: wide trousers on the hips, belt, sleeveless top, all complemented by low sandals and a maxi shoulder strap.
The color palette begins with pastel shades and sorbet, pink, light blue, lime yellow, peach and ends with the colors of South-Sahara sunsets, orange and dark yellow, earthy, olive green and the inevitable black and white.
Also for this collection, Alberta Ferretti finds the right inspiration to enclose her style in a contemporary inspiration, without ever going beyond the schemes of elegance and haute couture.
