When the trails get longer and the backpack gets heavy, you need a lightweight mountaineering boot disguised as a hiking boot like the Zodiac TRK GTX, Scarpa’s latest.
Designed for the discerning trekker who has to tackle long treks on and off trail, scree, snow hikes and rock climbs, the Zodiac TRK GTX – part of the Trail Backpacking collection for the Spring Summer 2024 season – is a top performer when it comes to stability, precision and lightness.
If a more structured and supportive shoe means less pain and fatigue, this is achieved thanks to an upper equipped with heel control, an innovative system applied in the heel area, which guarantees the foot’s containment, stability and adaptability on uneven terrain.
The specific design and injected tpu material make the upper reactive, avoiding torsion and facilitating walking on all types of terrain and the most demanding trails.
The Gore-Tex lining from Performance Comfort Footwear is also combined with the new ABS Precision outsole, which incorporates the Bascula Adaptive System technology.
The combined use of rigid and pivoting lugs in the foot strike phase ensures excellent grip and safety on all surfaces and inclines, while maintaining maximum comfort.
The Bascula Adaptive System technology works as a balancing element, controlling the support of the foot and favouring correct impact with the ground, guaranteeing a safe walk and maximum balance even on uneven trails. This result is enhanced by the MONT – VIBRAM compound tread, which has channels that favour the subsidence of a specific area in case of uneven ground, but at the same time maintains grip and increases the stability of the foot.
The super technical construction, which allows the sole to adapt to the terrain even with a fully loaded backpack, is combined with the lightness and comfort of the soft, oil-treated Perwanger leather and the autofit collar, which secures the ankle by supporting its movement.
