Fashion, visual art and music in the immersive proposal of the Italian designer (also creative director of Romeo Gigli): an online atelier is coming with new timeless capsules and a pink vinyl record. A mixture that gives life to the most contemporary of formats: the full brand experience.
“Recall” is the multi-experiential concept of Alessandro De Benedetti’s various artistic worlds, which starts from the new online atelier, a showcase of pure spirits of his couture imagery but with prêt-à-porter immediacy, presented in the form of video art and of musical project.
It is the result of a backward journey that has its roots in the training of the designer, but is in turn projected towards the future and speaks to women who seek meaning, contamination, atmosphere and suggestions in fashion.
Recall Madamex is also the name of the artist’s musical duo, who have arrived on their third album, “Unconscious ID”. A dark and electro-phonic path in which lysergic atmospheres, cult references and female voices lent to the narration physically meet the fashion of Alessandro De Benedetti.
An alternative and timeless world presented with a completely contemporary approach in which the tracks of the album will be launched together with fashion and videos, translating the concept of “single” into the more modern and comprehensive “drop”. Total immersion begins on the online Atelier on June 28 with the release of one of the ten songs, through the short movie with the evocative name “Becoming Danielle”.First indie couture drop that represents a capsule collection in the Dandy Wave style in perfect balance between punk ethics and beauty-chic aesthetics. And here are tailored jackets paired with retro western trousers, sapphire shirts with opulent ruffles, dresses in vibrant red with hooded sleeves. The link between the song and the collection is the presence of the graphics of the illustrator Francesca Azzoni in the video art.
As for Becoming Danielle and the single Cigarettes and Coffee, they will in fact be extremely real muses, inclusive and non-standard visions of charm and beauty at all ages, the protagonists of every music / video / couture event.
Justine Mattera, Sylvia Piacenza, Maria Vittoria Alfieri, Monica Re, Teresa La Fosca and Paola Sorrentino will take turns as the faces and voices of “Unconscious ID” and will bring truth to the designer’s concept of performing wardrobe.
The release of the entire album is expected on October 31, 2021, digitally and on a Halloween.
