The men’s Fall Winter 2022/23 collection by Aeronautica Militare imagines the future by looking back to the past and seeking inspiration in the present. A great attention paid to the quality of materials, new techniques and washes is intertwined with the continuous search for optimal performance, which leads to the use of innovative, ecological and sustainable fabrics in some specific garments.
Thanks to the four souls of this collection – Active, Pilot, Urban, Heritage – the Fall Winter 2022/23 collection will be a mix of modernity and tradition, comfort and style.
Active constantly evolving and in step with the times, Active garments feature ergonomic and comfortable lines, as well as a functional fit. Great attention is paid to the outerwear, all made using modern production techniques and exclusive materials produced by international companies that have invested in research and sustainability.
In particular, there are garments in Polartec, a synthetic fabric that guarantees perfect fit and waterproofing, in Cordura, a very strong and resistant fabric as well as being waterproof, and in Thermore, an ultralight 100% animal free, hypoallergenic and breathable material, perfect for keeping warm in the most diverse climatic conditions. The main colours are beige, purple and black, with important details such as linings, zips and drawstring clips in contrasting fluorescent yellow.
Pilot this is the military-inspired line with an distinctive style, focused on the present and dedicated to a transversal target. The fabrics used are high performance and high quality, with modern finishes and unique details; the patches used are the historical ones, in their original version, characterised by bright and bold colours. The iconic garments are flanked by innovative outerwear to warm up the cold season in style: an ultra-lightweight jacket – 100gr – padded with real goose down and a padded cotton outerwear.
The line is completed by a small capsule dedicated to the Frecce Tricolori, featuring patches, graphics and embroideries, a contemporary reinterpretation of PAN’s archive graphics. The colour range respects the brand’s signature colours: black, military green and camouflage with touches of yellow and sky blue.
Urban basic garments with clean lines and never predictable, suitable for facing the challenges of the new everyday life. Easy to wear, they are all made with exclusive and comfortable fabrics, with innovative features and high quality. Every detail is studied, the graphics are very discreet, tone on tone and never too much, with small colour details that highlight the details. The Fall Winter 2022/23 colours will be classic and neutral, such as blue, dove grey, grey and white, illuminated by a warm and intense shade of orange red.
Heritage this line retraces the history of Aeronautica Militare with an eye to the future: each garment tells something and represents the growth path of the brand. For Fall Winter 2022/23 the choice was made to celebrate the 32nd Amendola Wing, an Air Force interdiction wing with multiple operational tasks, one of the most avant-garde units in our Armed Force. The graphics and prints are inspired by the symbols of the 32nd, a falcon with its talons reaching downwards, and its Groups. The Tricolour is also used, both as a patch and as a detail, a homage to the country and to the Italian character of the brand.
The Heritage garments mix quality and comfort and, while maintaining memory of their roots, they are revisited in a more modern key and demonstrate a strong content of innovation and research. Dominant colours are white, red and green, in all its autumnal nuances, combined with delicate tones of blue and dove grey, with contrasting bright orange.
