Anteprima “Glow in the dark” new Fall Winter 2023/24 collection

The celebration of Anteprima‘s 30th anniversary continues: the city of Milan, where the brand was born 30 years ago, is back in the spotlight to interpret its essence, the true creative hub and source of inspiration for Izumi Ogino, Creative Director of Anteprima.

Love is at the heart of the new Fall Winter 2023/24 collection: for Crafts, for Art and for Life. LOVE handwritten by Izumi Ogino appears on the catwalk.

Modern rebel spirit and classic femininity with a dramatic aura
Light up the ‘dark’: Looking back to look forward is one of the key messages of the new Fall Winter 2023/24 collection, a perfect blend of past and present, tradition and innovation.

I created the collection to express the inner confidence and beauty, the boldness and sensuality of the contemporary woman who lives her life to the fullest, fights for her freedom, rights and happiness,” emphasises Izumi Ogino LOVE.

When I create something, what I try to do is to find a meeting point between two worlds, bringing that beauty to something that modern women can wear every day,” Izumi Ogino concludes.

The colour: Luscious Red with its bright tone is reconfirmed, while Dark Cherry, which is close to Bordeaux, comes in a deeper shade; there is room for the soft, chromatic orange of Apricot Crush, Salmon Caviar and Beacon Orange.  Natural, lacquered shine will be the most important effect. Warm Yellows, Olive to New deep dark Olive and Midnight Blue, and Grey in the warmest shade provide balance to the palette. Alpine Forest and Green shades are the new pastel accent.

Volume: shapes are more structured and sharp, while maintaining a sense of fluidity and femininity. Cutouts are precise and edges rounded on minimalist garments with a fresher, more decisive touch. Inspired by the world of architecture and design, the sculpted volume full of air adds a fun dimension to the collection.

Nacré, also known as mother-of-pearl, offers a natural luminosity and virtual shimmer on glass, acetate, metal, ceramics and fabrics: the Wirebag uses pearl as a chain and as an embellishment, the new experimentation is pearl shimmering foil-strap mixed with metal wire.

A continued focus on sustainability with the use of recycled fabrics and materials and the development and design of recycled wire in the Fall Winter 2023/24 collection.

Izumi Ogino, Creative Director of Anteprima, has chosen an iconic location in Lombardy’s capital to present the Fall Winter 2023/24 collection: an architectural structure of great historical, economic and cultural importance that has always fascinated even the world of design.

The Magazzini Raccordati was a strategic choice: not very bright, ideal for enhancing the concept linked to the new collection “Glowing in the dark”, which recalls the hope of being able to see light despite all the darkness.

The idea was to use a tunnel in the city, but for logistical traffic reasons this was not possible. The tunnels of Magazzini Raccordati are the right opposition between past and present, classic and modern, nostalgia and urban influence, like the city of Milan. A hybrid between artificial and natural: and this is the essence of the new Anteprima collection, structured but fluid, which will parade on the catwalk between high-impact neon and digital luminosity” spiega Izumo Ogino.

A late Art Nouveau style area, with cement decorations with geometric patterns on the façade and distinctive wrought-iron portals, typical of the early 20th century style, to pay homage to the city that is the brand’s source of inspiration: this is where Izumi Ogino made her debut in the 1990s and was the first Japanese designer to show in Milan, which is why she has always been linked to it.
