Bottega Veneta adopted the iconic motto “When your own initials are enough” in the 1970s, a defining statement about the importance of discretion, individuality and personalized style.

In 2001, when he took over the brand, Tomas Maier used the motto as an inspiring principle. The latest brand customization program, which debuted on the catwalk for Spring Summer 2018, focus on personal initials. Bottega Veneta launches the project Initials. A service that lets you personalize your bag or accessory purchased with your initials and combines the beauty of the artisanal  braiding nappa leather with thetypical elegance  of the brand and individuality of the monogram. The project offers a selection of products in four colors, with a further range of tones available for the letters. It will be fun, so choose between two woven lambskin shopper bag, a belt, a selection of wallets, beauty case and other small leather goods.For man, the proposal includes a tote-bag, a messenger and a cross-body bags, two wallets and a belt. The service is also available for a selection of luggage, including a trolley, a duffel, a carry-on bag, a document holder and a toiletry bag. Each creation is hand-woven using the finest quality nappa, suede finished internally in order to give more weight and also a distinctive character.

Among the new models of the season that can be customized are the bags of the Stripe group duffle bags and duffle made of Canvas, Double Suede and Ostrich with bold sports bands that leave an empty space to fit a monogram. Among the new women’s bags that can also be customized are the Palio Intrecciato tote and the BV73 tote and shopper.
