When it comes to Versace, you can’t help but think about the spectacular appearance that characterizes each of its fashion shows. This time, however, the surprise effect was more than surprising: the collection for the next Spring Summer 2020 was in fact designed around the jungle dress, a garment that turned twenty years old and was worn by the beautiful Jennifer Lopez at the end of the show.
That has never been a simple dress, but it has marked the turning point of Donatella Versace‘s career and has become trendy again, influencing taste and aesthetics. Tropical print and deep neckline, the jungle dress is exalted by the sensual Jennifer Lopez, who incites statuesque with a magnetic look, literally driving the public crazy and recording a crazy success. On the occasion of the twentieth anniversary the famous Jungle print returns in shades of green, but also in red and orange variants. The tropical motif also comes back in 3D on sneakers and on the Virtus bag.In addition to the star JLO, an absolute hymn to femininity, the great muses of the maison and many of the historical ones are on the catwalk, from Amber Valletta to Irina Shayk, Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid, Kaia Gerber and Kendall Jenner, Imaan Hammam, Vittoria Ceretti and Adut Akech.
In order for the show to be memorable, Versace has not overlooked any detail, also attaching great importance to accessories, such as sunglasses. A reference to the 90s and oversized wraparound constructions distinguish the new acetate frames, embellished by the iconic Medusa on one side and the Gianni Versace signature in gold engraved on the other.Wrap-around and oversize masks instead present the maison’s logo on the bridge in the center of the frame and worked rods; the same masks are also characterized by interchangeable lenses with magnets.
Versace, one of the most famous fashion houses in the world, is designed for those who believe in Made in Italy and timeless elegance, for those who have determination and prefer a contemporary style; for those who like to wear not just a simple accessory or glamorous garment, but something that expresses their personality and uniqueness.
