“With my first Burberry men’s collection, I wanted to celebrate freedom of expression. During this period spent indoors, I dreamed of the beauty of open spaces, driven by the thought of creativity that comes when we have the opportunity to be together.

With this dream in my mind, I was fascinated by British craftsmanship and the dynamics of the early 20th century as people ventured to explore unknown landscapes. They have formed communities with a deep respect for nature and for the outdoors, trusting in a future full of possibilities. I was not only attracted by the artistic skill of their craft, by the colors and shapes, but also from their strong sense of solidarity and friendship. This collection is a tribute to the relationship between humanity and nature, where you can free yourself and meet to discover new forms of expression. It is designed for those who are defining their own path, whose strength and energy have inspired this Burberry collection.

Riccardo Tisci, Burberry Chief Creative OfficerBurberry new Fall Winter 2021/22 men's collectionThe Burberry Fall Winter 2021/22 men’s collection challenges and delicately reinvents traditions, inviting freedom of expression. The collection itself is dynamic and young, vibrant and alive. Outerwear is vital. The clothes are designed to reflect movement and activity – with pleats, panels and fringes – as if they were moving in the wind. Multi-layered pieces fit unexpectedly on the body. Tailoring has a twisted sense of classicism, while the brand’s codes – the trench coat and Burberry beige – have evolved.

Revisiting the classics with a new perspective, the trench coat is combined with the Harrington jacket. Coats in cotton gabardine and wool twill are fringed and closed by silk foulard belts. Duffle coats are updated in striped wool with reconstructed pockets and cut silhouettes with ingot fringes and bold prints. Knitwear and outerwear come together in modern combinations: the V-neck of a sweater over a trench coat and a double-breasted paneled sweater. The reconstructed college jackets are made of plongé leather and cashmere cotton with “B” logo.

Bullion fringe adds a sense of ceremony to tunic shirts, silk crepe de chine vests and tailored trousers. Shirt dresses and pleated skirts are meant for movement. Burberry’s animal kingdom, one of the house codes, has been revisited. Animal prints and shapes, mink and fox fur shirts and pleated skirts, tactile faux fur processing on duffle coats and hooded gilets.

The tailoring is renewed with a twisted classicism. A slim fit tailored jacket with exaggerated lapels, worn with tailored shorts applied over wire mesh cycling shorts. Panel details transform an English-cut dress in ramie wool, and classic-cut trousers and tailored shorts in grain de poudre wool.

The messenger bag is reinvented. The oversized silhouette features a reconstructed strap: a union of sartorial and hiking influences. The features include faux fur, leather and the Thomas Burberry monogram print. New iterations also in the Pocket Bag family: a leather fanny pack and backpack for travelers with blanket straps.
