P.Rew.: Burberry Press Office
‘During my life, my mother has been a force of nature. As a single parent, she raised me and my eight sisters with incredible determination and pride. As a result, I’ve always been attracted to strong women who, in turn, have also given me the confidence to express my femininity. They are not afraid to defy expectations and their determination has always aroused a feeling of admiration in me. They are warriors.
I wanted this collection to be truly emblematic of the power of female energy: modern armor that captures this bold aura. There is a very British attitude in this collection: unique, eccentric and totally authentic in the way of expressing oneself. This presentation is a love letter to women and a celebration of their incomparable strength.”
Riccardo Tisci, Burberry Chief Creative Officer Riccardo Tisci’s first exclusively female presentation for Burberry offers a bold interpretation of modern femininity: it abandons archetypes and redirects preconceptions. A collection whose core radiates a sense of pride and unwavering conviction. The looks reinvent tradition, upset classicism and encourage freedom of expression with a sense of fluidity.

A return to the animal kingdom, one of the brand’s codes. Trompe l’oeil and faux leather prints play between the natural effect and fashion. The trench coat finished in faux leather, wool with fox print and geometric inlays. Duffle coat reconstructed in faux mink and curly shearling. Ornaments on the hoods and leather fringes. Faux fur embroidered in the silhouette with hood and tailored shorts panels.Fluttering dresses with cape sleeves in color block and animalier and fluid unlined outerwear evoke a sense of freedom, as if moved by the wind. Reinventing tradition, British tailoring classics are refreshed with a new focus and new confidence, as if they were modern armor. A boxy blazer with sharp shoulders; tapered trousers with cut-out cuffs; long shorts with fringes and panels. The Burberry cape finds a new expression, profiling the shoulders in cashmere with an enlarged check motif and paired with a tailored jacket.

A sense of fluidity inspires the new Flag bag, a soft tote with embroidered metallic fringes – presented in sequined silk and smooth lambskin with annotations of the Burberry founder initials.
The Olympia collection, with its athletic aura, is redefined with a new femininity and evolves into new versions: shoulder strap and clutch bag. Soft silhouettes sculpted for movement. The oversized Messenger bag, presented for the first time in the Fall / Winter 2021 men’s collection, returns in faux leather and shearling and is inspired by the animal kingdom.Shoes
