A graduate of Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, English, 32 years old and a great talent: Daniel Lee is the new creative director of Bottega Veneta.

The British designer, in office from 1 July 2018, will play the role just left by Tomas Maier, who guided the style of the Venetian brand for seventeen years. Before joining Céline in 2012, Lee worked for Maison Margela, Balenciaga and Donna Karan. A great experience that makes Lee a true enfant prodige of fashion.

I am very happy to welcome Daniel Lee to the Kering group as Creative Director of Bottega Veneta. It was the uniqueness of his vision inspired by a very personal creative approach to convince me that he would be the ideal interpreter of a new chapter in the history of the brand. His work is characterized by a great rigor, a mastery mastery of the expertise in the atelier, a deep passion for materials and an energy that I can not wait to see take shape in Bottega Veneta“, says François-Henri Pinault, president of the Kering Group.

Daniel Lee has perfectly understood the current challenges for the company in terms of both creation and brand development. In Bottega Veneta will bring a new and distinctive creative language building the success of the brand on the basis of the ambitious foundations developed in the last years“, says Bottega Veneta CEO Claus Dietrich Lahrs. An important role that made Lee enthusiastic, who he declares ready and honored to be able to start this new adventure.
