Fabric, pins, brain waves: the creation comes to life on the mannequin as it happens in haute couture, it is born directly from the guiding hands of instinct, brilliant interpreters that enhance the mediation of thought, skillful tools that draw a new story of dreams and movements.
New shapes to wear for Spring Summer 2020.
The collection whispers the dreamlike journey of inspiration: in a place suspended in enchantment, where events happen before being imagined.
The creations preserve the intention: to reinvent the “draping” technique lightly done on the body, to renew the soft charm of the bias, to give back method and vigor to the cut and to the construction to reach unexpected results. And get surprising revelations.
The multiple ruffles in transparent chiffon with thin lurex glows overlap the micro frills of tulle, and they shape clothes that flutter lightly on the skin, recreating the sensual suggestion of the “Dalia” effect in the same way of Lèon Baskt.
The drapes fall free on the body and lean like deep hoods sculpted in asymmetrical bows, meanwhile a harmony of circular chiffon layers fluctuates with romantic delicacy in the wind.The caban and kimonos are gathered in the incipit of the iconic Romeo Gigli macro-node, which breaks down the silhouette to restore power to the essence of the lines and enhance the architecture of the volumes.
The clouds at sunset paint the “cocoon” dress with a taste of the late 1800s with a chromatic poetry in an ethereal balance between imagination and reality, as in a Moebius drawing.
Sensuality is revealed, the fabric is held back and then released, the eyes are filled with intense colors like the red of Picasso, the Blue of the ocean, the Purple of Dalì, the Green of the pond and the Periwinkle of the sapphire: precious nuances shining through the transparencies of enzyme georgettes, in matelassé jacquards in silk cotton, in poplin in stretchy cotton and in the sinuosity of the viscous washed with parachute effect.
The suspended lightness of Romeo’s woman, wrapped in a cocoon of tulle and thoughts, lives at the borders of time.
