Between Pop Art and Candy Shop: The Aigner Collection for Spring Summer 2018

Brooklyn mid-90s, in a small attic with bright colors listen to the Beatles and read Interview. This is the atmosphere breathes during Aigner Spring Summer 2018 fashion show.

A tribute to the twentieth century, but above all to pop art and artists such as James Rizzi and Keith Haring, whose works have given colors and mood to the entire collection.

Starting from the black and white, for long chess or striped dresses, white dresses with AIGNER LOVE in black, complete with leather and accessories ton sur ton.

It explodes with the real pop art: pink candy, orange, fuchsia and burgundy so adorable by Aigner, dominating a walkthrough with lips of the same tones, highlighting the sexy but chic mood of this collection.

The designer interprets a subtle play of contrasts, first with the color palette, then with the fabrics: dresses, jackets and skirts in leather with logo sweatshirts and printed kisses and Made in Germany knitwear and then still lace dresses full of lustrous lips and jackets in Tibetan curly lamb.

Two-tone heels, platform sandals with ankle straps, represent the continuum of an eccentric and sophisticated ambivalence. The jewels are oversized, as with the colored AIGNERLOVE earrings and the pendants on the rings.Cybyll Special, Candice, Lara, Carlie, Jada, Betty and Diadora are not the names of Aigner’s favorite models but the bags for the next spring summer.

Cybill is a classic Aigner for this collection, with three new versions: black with glittering shades, colorful in blue or gray stone with contrast or black details with studs. Candice is a shoulder strap with three variations and is inspired by American candy stores, Lara is a leather and metal bag with a Aigner and a printed heart. Carlie has an asymmetrical cut, Jada instead has a classic pattern but colorful prints with Love. Betty, on the other hand, represents the functionality and the high quality of craftsmanship of Aigner and finally Diadora, a clutch to carry with shoulder straps. A continuous Aigner versus that will captivate nostalgics of the 90’s, cutting-edge women, the Barbie girl and the casual chic.
