Sculptural shoulders, soft sleeves, flowing dresses and precious details. This is the mood of Autumn Winter 2018/19 signed by Alberta Ferretti. A contemporary collection, in step with trends, but with a personality of its own.
The palette marks a thin line between day and night: it starts with a total black, passes from innovative color blocks, with combinations of radiant orchid and coral red, light blue and burgundy, mustard and rust, and ends with a cascade of crystals.
A mix & match of colors and shapes that underline the character of the Ferretti woman: cashmere sweaters with soft sleeves are combined with a leather pencil skirt or wide-waisted high pants, the overcoats are trench coats, and structured hoods, denim is embellished with micro-studs, both on jeans and jackets. Protagonists are also silk and tulle, which alternate between long dresses and suits, velvet details and rope belts, with a winter rainbow of purple, green, orange and black.
We know that Alberta Ferretti is a master of elegance, for evening dresses she has chosen to make her supernova shine with lurex fabrics with which she realizes shirts, trousers and low-cut dresses. Cascades of micro sequins instead for jackets and suits, feathers for a super chic bomber and a hit girl dress. Completing this constellation are the two black dresses, one with shimmering stones that cover the decollete, worn perfectly by Bella Hadid and the other where the stones cover the entire dress.
The accessories that completes the look are soft suede boots with the same clothes palette, shimmering booties and sandals with tassels. The bags are crossbody, the belts marks the waist and the Texan hats add even more grit to the combined looks.
It is no secret that the woman who wears Ferretti is gritty and confident: so the designer is perfectly able to show these features from every detail of her looks.
