Another collaboration between Vivienne Westwood and the Ethical Fashion Initiative, the International Trade Center (ITC), the United Nations Organization and the Trade Organization.
The ITC supports the work of 7,000 women’s from African communities living in a situation of marginalization and poverty, craft work is a resource that helps one of the world’s poorest populations. Vivienne Westwood in collaboration with ITC creates a sustainable business, which realizes concrete international socio-economic aid. The bags are hand-crafted by women living in Africa, widows, mothers, victims of HIV, recycled materials such as coffee bags, boat sails or road signs. Poor materials that with the skilful craftsmanship become unique pieces of great value.
The pieces are unisex, there are women’s bags, bright colors and those for men, such as backpacks or totes.
