Fashion weeks are nowadays a way to celebrate, a moment to gain experience, to live the view towards the brand to make people feel the philosophy behind clothes that tell a different story every season. .
Chanel is definitely one of the maison that focuses a lot on the experience during the shows and that has created unforgettable locations and engaging concepts.
It did not disappoint even this year: during the Paris Fashion Week the fashion show for the presentation of the Spring Summer 2022 collection was held with a direct and energetic reference to the 80s.
Did they present the current catwalks all very fast in which the models have quite apathetic expressions and in which the photos are always taken from the front while walking? Well, now forget everything and focus on the supermodel runways, the ones in which beautiful and recognizable women paraded and sinuously on the runways as the photographers wriggled underneath.
During the Chanel fashion show for the Spring Summer 2022 collection we relived all this guided by the poses and the winking movements of current tops who have played to imitate those who perhaps can consider their idols.
The result is a show full of glamor, the retro effect is evident but it can be lost in the performance of the models and in the clothes presented which, although affected by the concept, make it a fresher version and certainly permeated with new trends. . The swimwear alternates the high waist with the low one but all strictly vow to the black & white typical of the maison especially for the more sporty garments.
The allure is that of a sensual and athletic woman who points to elegance and details on every occasion while favoring clean and essential lines. The biker shorts are a demonstration of this especially when combined with the logoed belt and the matelassé bag with gold chain.
The low rise pants show the underwear with (incredible) elegance and want this uniform for our working days already now. The tweed is bright with sequins, or with multicolor stripes that associate it a little with the 60s even in the shapes. Shades of pink and lilac are combined with yellow, which also appears in the more colorful section of Chanel’s Spring Summer 2022 collection.
The final touch are the prints that reproduce in a stylized way flowers and butterflies for a boost of colors and lightheartedness. Long dresses are light and floating and lighten what was previously fitted and sculpted or geometric.
