So Alberta Ferretti tells of her empathic journey for the realization of the Spring Summer 2018 collection.
A collection that interprets the diversity of women from their simplicity, choosing prototypes of contemporary female beauty like Hadid’s sisters.
Purity and linearity, these adjectives that contradict each and every one of the costumes ending with evening dresses.
A storytelling that grows like a crescendo: from a total black or color palette, the plot is transformed with the use of an asymmetrical but always linear knitwear, then goes to maxi dresses from light fabrics that recall dresses of the princesses of the desert. The transformation comes with the details: an explosion of monochrome feathers, red for short and naked dresses for the long.
And finally, all women deserve to shine like stars, a cascade of sequins on dresses and tops, golden beads or maxi paillettes for a siren effect, lurex fabrics in pink, blue, wisteria and light green. Even in the evening soft lines for both dresses and suits, with pants that do not bend the silhouette and skirts that sway perfectly.
For accessories, the woman of Alberta Ferretti passes easily from a flat sandal, to a pair of décolleté at the high hills. The handbags are maxi clutch to hold for casual or under arm for the business woman. The bijoux are collier with elongated leaves, golden brooches and earrings. Revived the iconic rainbow week, t-shirt version.
Alberta Ferretti succeeds with only one collection to interpret a woman who represents them all: simple, refined, modern, attentive to detail, elegant, glamorous, chameleon. Today’s woman, who in less than 24 hours, goes from a complete minimal to low-waisted shoes, to a glittering vest matched to a parka and ends the evening in a sleigh of feathers and very high sandals.
