The white symbol of purity and elegance, white as a symbol of transparency: the autumn winter 2018/19 collection by Laura Biagiotti is a white hymn declined in all its facets.
The Piccolo Teatro di Milano, emblem of Italian culture in the world, has been the stage par excellence of the Biagiotti fashion shows for twenty years. This is why Lavinia, daughter of the famous designer, made her debut here, alone but wrapped and surrounded by the affection of many people. The woman she is inspired by is a strong, conscious and determined woman and fashion must reflect the achievements that slowly, with pride, have been achieved.
Long coats with soft textures, knitted dresses and cardigans embrace the feminine silhouette, as if to make her feel protected in a warm embrace; fluttering dresses and chiffon shirts, sheath dresses and pants with pleats characterize the collection. Although white is at the center of the whole palette of colors come salive, going from camel to green, from mustard to red.
“Helping women to be people, not characters”: this is what Lavinia Biagiotti affirms and expresses, with discretion and emotion, after some time since the mother’s disappearance. A collection conceived around the white, the symbol of the fashion house, and in black, for women who live every day with enthusiasm, awareness and dignity.
To conclude the show, here are the models in total black, wearing the iconic black turtleneck with the words “Piccolo Teatro” and “Biagiotti”, indicating a solid and lasting bond that has lasted for over twenty years.
