Testimonial of the pre-collection of Burberry Fall Winter 2018 is Adwoa Aboah, elected model of the year at the British Fashion Award 2017, photographed by the famous Juergen Teller.

Adwoa is a manifesto of brightness and modernity. Juergen’s Burberry photos were shot in three different places, all significant for Adwoa Aboah, as if to rebuild a sort of model’s passport. The first images have London as a backdrop, a city where Adwoa Aboa was born, then New York, the metropolis in which she lives and finally a journey that brought her to the heart of her origins in Ghana.Kensemaa Aboah, Gladys Aboah, Adwoa Aboah, Mary Asare and Ernestina Aboah c Courtesy of Burberry_Juergen TellerThe photos taken in Ghana have as protagonists: the model his family, Adwoa with the women of his family, the mother, the grandmother, wrapped in clothes with the tartan that has made the Burberry brand famous and recognizable all over the world.

The Ghana-based photos have an intimate character while those taken in London and New York have a more carefree cut, in the latter there are some Adwoa friendly models, who wear an urban style. Street prints, neon inserts, colorful sweaters combined with reinterpreted Burberry classics, such as laminated tranch or large trousers, graffiti and bright colors, also present the iconic Doodle print and a new version of the Belt bag.

The Belt has new sizes, new colors and new fabrics such as the canvas and can be customized in various ways thanks to interchangeable shoulder straps. This Burberry project opens the door to a new communication path for a collection aimed at an eclectic generation, which loves to travel and immersed in the contemporary life.
