Be FEMINIST, Mama Vodka e Buro Belén

Let’s talk about women from the north who, through their work contribute to  women emancipation and gender equality.


Mama Vodka is a brand characterized by its elegance and modernity which makes of the plain lines, typical of the Scandinavian design, its signature. Scandinavia and, in particular, Denmark is the land of democracy and gender equality and where women are at the forefront of the battle for a real equality. Mama Vodka is the vodka for women, an alcoholic drink for the women who love being with their girl friends and for feminists who want to clench their being female.  The brand has a familiar history going back to 2005. Their ambition was to create a drink without rivals, as the target of this product; for this reason Mama Vodka is made up of rye and spring water distilled five times. It took several years  to Pauline Birch, creator of the product, from Copenaghen, to realize the drink which was ready by 2009.

An importan part of the product i salso its case, the bottle, made of crystal with a red writing, which represents  female elegance but also its warrior spirit. The outer packaging is inspired by the hat in white fur of the Royal Guards of the Castle of Amelienborg. In conclusion, the best way to struck a woman: crystal, fur and wodka. Moreover, Mama Vodka is at home in the coolest bars and restaurants of Copenaghen, such as Silo, a restaurant located on the 17th floor of a building overlooking the sea port or the  Cafè Victor or again the Balthazar or the Lusso.

Two cocktails have been dedicated to Milan: the Mama’s Summervibes with pineapple juice and strawberries and the Mama’s Passion with passionfruit, orange juice and lemon juice. What’s more, Mama Vodka, for the Milan fashion week,   dedicated a cocktail to two young mothers: Brecht and Lenneke, who own one of the most interesting design studios of the last generation,  Buro Belèn. The cocktail, called Mama Vodka Pink sun, is named after one of the last stuides of Buro Belèn, named “Sun”, released in Alcova the 19th April 2018.


The two youg women grown in the Eindhoven Academy and strucked by the innovative use of the materials, used the most modern technologies to realize a line reducing as far as possible the negative effects of the sun on the skin but also pollution due to the use of the traditional sunscreens. Therefore they exposed light dresses of various weight together with very elegant sun visors and  headgears to be protected against the sun. Maybe this brought the two brands near: the use of a sober elegance, simple and refined, exalting women in their most natural expressions.
