Wolford presents new capsule collection with Sergio Rossi: the two brands join forces and collaborate for the future
A world leader in skinwear, Wolford is delighted to collaborate on a very special capsule with Sergio Rossi, the legendary Italian brand under the creative direction of Evangelie Smyrniotaki, Art Director of Sergio Rossi.
The collaboration with Sergio Rossi – an iconic Italian luxury footwear brand founded in 1951 – embodies the core values that the brand shares with Wolford: craftsmanship, femininity, contemporaneity and elegance find expression in a capsule collection that combines the best of both worlds.
The innovative vision of The W Lab combines with the rich heritage of Wolford and Sergio Rossi, two brands that boast 70 years of history and generational experience in the fashion world and are both part of the Lanvin Group. The campaign, shot in New York, is a tribute to the photographic genius Helmut Newton, who during his long career worked with both companies celebrating femininity, independence and the emancipation of the human body. Historic, extraordinary and emblematic images depicting the lights and rooftops of the skyscrapers of the Big Apple. Evocative shots of bold and confident women reveal a glitzy yet contemporary glamour, skilfully interpreted by Evangelie Smyrniotaki’s storytelling.
A day-to-night collection composed of 7 garments that captivate with their exquisite elegance. A tribute to craftsmanship and the most scrupulous attention to detail, essential principles shared by both brands. In fact, the production of a pair of Sergio Rossi shoes requires 120 steps and 14 hours of work, while a pair of Wolford tights undergoes more than 20 checks, with 15% of productivity dedicated exclusively to quality control. The result: unique skinwear.
Original and sensual suspender-belt stockings, tights illuminated by a cascade of tiny studs, socks emblazoned with a glittering double logo, and lycra stockings lit up by rich, vibrant colours. Jumpsuits destined to become the new must-haves of the moment
– one in seductive Bailey fabric with a sweetheart neckline and the other combining the allure of a turtleneck with the surprise of a vertiginous back neckline. The star of the capsule is the exclusive cuissard with suspender belt: made on an iconic Sergio Rossi structure, it is the symbol and ultimate interpreter of this latest creative collaboration.
The campaign features model Cate Underwood, photography by Haris Farsarakis, video direction by Ruslan Pelykh and project styling by Sandy Armeni.
