Luisa Beccaria Fall Winter 2023/24 Flower Storm… of lightning and colours…

A storm of flowers: the allegory of balance that breaks down and recomposes, drawing ever new emotional landscapes.

The Luisa Beccaria woman for Fall Winter 2023/24 embodies the dialogue between ideal and everyday, the desire for romanticism and the will for independence. She is a force of nature, who freely reinterprets and mixes different inspirations, from a sporty wardrobe to more swinging cues, while remaining faithful to the brand’s iconic hyper-feminine style.

Textural textures such as corduroy (also printed), wool and flannel alternate with impalpable chiffon and dévoré silk, giving way to technical fabrics for warm down jackets and metallic jersey with a luminous weave. Silhouettes play with volumes, with oversized touches contrasting the more slippery and close-fitting shapes; lengths range from maxi to mini.

Chains and showers of buds embellish flounced dresses in stretch wool combined with balaclavas, for daytime. Intense red trousers with soft lines are completed with oversized redingote with dropped shoulders cinched at the waist with high ton sur ton belts. The same is transformed into a minidress in very soft sugar-paper suede.

The rose-studded chemisier is worn over a printed mock-up, while the monochrome jersey blouse becomes couture with tailored ribbing and threading.

For the evening, the petal and blossom print is transferred onto black velvet in the form of minute embroidery or is completely transformed and becomes a sensual, voluptuous pansy. Metallic flashes light up mermaid gowns covered in cascades of degrade sequins, alternating with other swathes of dévoré velvet.

To face the storm – meteorological and metaphorical – the outerwear is very warm: for the evening maxicoats in plain mohair (white, red, sugar paper), for the daytime egg-shaped bomber jackets with hoods, also in a waistcoat version.

The colour palette is entirely based on the tones of Giorgione’s enigmatic Tempest. Cream and ivory give way to moss green, blue-greens, teal and turquoise, shades of bright pink in red and burgundy, deep touches of black, flashes of bronze and the grey-blue nuances of a winter sky in the mountains, between crystal clarity and storm tones.
